Political poems.
Good morning, good morning;
Will there ever be another one?
What have we done, what have we done?
Votes taken cannot be undone.
An undiscovered country have we become.
Dismay and despair to overcome.
God help every mother's son
Begging for a crumb or just a bun
And daughters too, shall they be shunned?
How then can they become good mums?
The sun that never sets has become the setting sun
Should London declare independence too?
And vote with Scotland to remain in the EU?
Frank Waller, June 2016
To vote or not to vote, - that is the question:-
Whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the pangs of disappointment
Or prudent to accept the claims and promises made by politicians,
However, treat them with the disdain they deserve,
As wishful thinking and not worth a row of beans.
To ponder, to think and by that process, what doubts, disillusion
And heartaches would beset us? Must give us pause
So sleep on it - perchance to dream. No more,
To dream of halcyon days - a land flowing with milk and honey.
Instead, years of constant austerity and always jam tomorrow.
Where the rich; the haves and have yachts, get richer
Whilst the poor, the have not, get poorer, that's life!
But who cares about that as long as we are all right Jack.
Politicians, hah, unable to give an honest answer,
In many cases, answers came there none,
Instead, deriding their opponents as dishonest.
Whilst not fulfilling their own promises.
Now is the summer of our bygone days made harsh winter by their frailties.
And we have to wait and see, the undiscovered country we are to be…
The Tories have lost their working majority.
Obligations demand we combat injustice and inequality
And with endurance, we will confront our destiny.
May's negotiation stance is so much weaker,
And a good outcome for us so much bleaker
A co-ordinated approach with other parties,
May yet save us from May's absurdities…
Frank Waller, June 2017
Theresa May, Theresa May
While the sun shines, she will make hay.
A snap election sans delay.
Yet hope REMAIN to thwart her say.
The best laid plans of mice and men
May be upset by strokes of pens.
A strong and stable government
Means a stable of excrement.
Too late to close that stable door
Bolting horses make us poor.
An aggressive launch of “Brexit”
Have repercussions on exit!
Her appeal for Tory glory
Is May's repetitive story.
Just one against twenty seven
Cannot lead us to our Heaven.
Yet what she wants in her intent
Denied! We'll withhold our consent.
How has the high and mighty fallen?
Like a wet and saggy awning.
As the cock crows at the dawning,
A gap appears wide and yawning
Counting your chickens before they're hatched
Is a foolish way to be dispatched.
“J.A.M” has now become May's own mantra
To govern, she'll need help from Santa
A coalition of chaos
Will end in tears and betray us
May's “Brexit” stance now lies in tatters
A soft approach may solve the matter.
Frank Waller, May 2017
So this is the end
Lets not pretend
The Brexit deal, May cannot defend
And politicians cannot amend
The EU decrees and does not bend
To the backstop M. Barnier will not append
And the DUP cannot apprehend
The deal, May will not extend
Her way or no way, too late to mend
Monsieurs Barnier and Juncker. intends
Into the deal we must all descend,
That is the trend.
So comes the inevitable end.
When Utopia becomes Dystopia, in the end.
Frank Waller, December 2018
Life interrupted, by "Brexit" destructive.
A country ungovernable, by politicians unable.
The world in chaos, but only "Brexit" pervades us.
This is unsustainable, when Parliament tries the unattainable.
A second unelected Prime Minister, "Brexit" to administer.
An oven ready dish, exploding with hot air hiss.
A dozen MPs unimpressive, vying for the job attractive.
Initially elected by Tory MPs, only to be shelled out like peas.
Why any MP want the job, to be defeated by the braying mob.
Only two combatants remain, to fight for the Job they can't sustain.
Offering largesse left, right and centre, seeking votes of Tory members.
Both men so delusional, could make agreement unsuccessful.
Their "Brexit" fantasy, full of inconsistencies.
In Kim Dorroch's hour of need, Boris behaves like a broken reed.
Britain faces a bleak landscape, when all Boris wants, a Trump handshake.
Remarks applied to the U.S. Administration, can apply to our condition.
How can we be so submissive, to allow this form of Tory objective.
Democracy discounted, by those unaccounted.
Frank Waller, July 2019
Boris Johnson, Boris Johnson,
Things that matter left undone.
Elected Leader by grass-root Tories,
Democracy discounted, another story.
Emerges where never shines the sun,
The Prime Minister he has now become.
The no-deal option to be done,
And all our problems left unsung
An oven ready dish, full of hot air hiss.
Boris is adamant, he must insist
Deliver a "Brexit" deal his first condition
But uniting the country a lost rendition.
While we obeyed rules that grated,
No.10 laughed and celebrated,
The North Shropshire bye-election,
Indicated Tories lost affection.
Boris is drinking in the last chance saloon,
It's time we got rid of that lying buffoon.
Since then we've submitted to Tory debasements,
Two more MPs resigned from sexual elements,
Boris survived a vote of confidence,
But angry MPs were much in evidence.
Wakefield, Tiverton & Honiton showed voter's ire,
The despatch of this Government, the voters desire.
How long will the Tories endure,
The inept deceits, there is no cure.
Finally, comes the Pincher affair,
Leaving MPs in total despair.
An avalanche of resignations followed,
A new PM. maybe tomorrow.
Frank Waller, June 2022
Oh what a hullabaloo,
Now there is only two,
Go right for Liz, or left for Rishi,
Who is reliable or who is risky?
Only Tory members chooses,
While the rest of Britain snoozes.
Do they know what to do,
To solve the enigma of these two?
So many problems to be solved,
While this election circus revolved.
High inflation, low, low wages,
Cost of living consumes our rages.
Truss's solution is cutting tax,
How many services will be axed?
Sunak's policy is first beat inflation,
Which takes us to his destination.
Not a mention about Ukraine,
That crisis still remains.
And how about the Social Services?
The cost of that will be excessive.
No doctor's or dentist's appointments,
We are just left with disappointments.
What about our children's education?
Is Britain to be an ignorant nation?
Can Liz Truss views be trusted?
Is Rishi Sumak already busted?
Are Opinion Polls good indicators?
While the rest of us are just spectators.
What about "Get Brexit Done"?
Be sure of that - we'll all get done.
Only another General Election,
Would achieve Britain's expectation.
Frank Waller, July 2022
Oh dear what can the matter be,
Kwarteng has crashed our economy.
He has committed KamiKwarsi
And alarmed the markets needlessly.
Two foolish virgins going for growth,
Have stunned the markets, to shun them both.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
Liz Truss is lost in reality,
With her right-wing ideology.
Her so arrogant attitude,
Led to the budget's ineptitude.
A gross debasement we conclude.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
A thoughtless financial gamble,
Has created an u-turn scramble.
And an awkward Omni-shambles.
Hikes in interest and mortgage rates,
Have left the public in an angry state.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
Liz Truss has given her Leader's Speech,
Indicating how growth can be reached.
By abandoning high taxation,
And by trashing regulations.
Yet we fear for our expectations.
Oh dear what can the matter be,
Next, another Spending Review,
To reclaim funds for energy fuel.
Beware you Universal Creditors,
A reduced Welfare is on offer.
To increase Government's spent coffers
Frank Waller, October 2022
Little Kier Starmer sat in the corner
Eating his staller pie
He put in his thumb
and pulled out a plum
And said what a good boy am I
Speaker's blunder on SNP 's cease fire motion amended
Causing the Tory and SNP members to be demented
All the Georgie Porgies ran away
Giving Labour's amendment the sway.

They've taken the "Con" and conned us all.
They've taken the "serve" and only served themselves.
They've taken the "ative" and have been active in the downward spiral to poverty by "Brexit"
The only Government that was foolish enough to impose economic sanctions upon itself
They've taken the "Gov" only to govern with incompetence, corruption, ineptitude, and chaos.
They've restricted our freedoms and reduced our liberties.
They've taken the "ver", but don't know where to go.
They've taken the "ment" which meant to govern with due diligence, instead it meant they are incapable of governing.
The "Coalition Government" of Conservatives and Liberal Democrats were not blameless..
They've "ConDem"ned us to the Break-up of the United Kingdom.
